The idea of a Nurse Doctor seems confusing to me, and it probably will be to patients. I think the existence of such a program provides further evidence as to how sick our healthcare system is. People who are, on average, less talented and with inferior training, will be granted the same priviledges to do what we do, and they can "undercut" our charges. Sounds like another win for the insurance companies, and another loss for patients and doctors (i.e., MDs and DOs). Call me old fashioned, but I think that if you want to be a doctor, you should go to medical school. I also think that if a patient wants to see a doctor, they should see someone who went to MD or DO school and completed a residency.

This article makes FP's sound very replaceable; what are your thoughts?
